Abstract

The article concerns nouns of third declension ending in –мя. The hypothesis is formed why suffix ЕН disappears in forms of nominative and genitive cases of the singular. The attention is paid to the fact that s ome such nouns have the form of the plural and some such ones do not. The particular attention is paid to the form of genitive case of the plural.
