- Abstract
The article shows the semantic and stylistic closeness of the chronicle story of the martyrdom in the Golden Horde of Prince Roman Olgovich of Ryazansky (Nikonovskaya (Patriarch's) Chronicle), to the life-martyria. The stylistically heterogeneous structure of the narrative is analyzed, which is identical to the hagiographic style and the style of the "second monumentalism" of the 16th century.
