- Abstract
- N. G. Chernyshevsky's sociological discourse is mostly subordinated to the tasks of designing and implementing social changes. The author demonstrates the fallacy of the stereotype of his perception as a revolutionary who subordinated artistic creativity to the tasks of fighting the autocracy. N. G. Chernyshevskyacted, on the one hand, as an educator, and on the other – as a sociologist-publicist of social and practical orientation, and his influence on contemporaries was of a worldview character.
