Abstract
On the basis of a comparative analysis of empirical material collected in the Rostov Region and the Krasnodar Territory, constructed identities are identified, while primordial ones are identified in Adygea. The authors prove that the reduction of interethnic tension in the southern Russian territories requires the construction of local and macro-regional components of territorial identity.
