Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the role of self-fulfilling prophecies in the construction of social reality through mass communication. In this context, the political process as such is considered. A historical retrospective is given and some historical hoaxes are considered. The features of the implementation of the socialist doctrine are analyzed. Considerable attention is paid to television and the Internet.
