Abstract
The article is devoted to the theme which is not researched in the scientific literature from the sociological point of view. The Creoles in Russian America were a people of mixed (European-Native) origin who began to form as a separate social group by the beginning of the 19th century. Our goal will be to study the specificity of vertical mobility of that group, the types and varieties of mobility processes. For the analyses of statistical information we have used the encyclopedic dictionary: Who was Who in the History of Russian America: A Comprehensive Biographical Dictionary (in Russian) which was published in 2009 and contains references to about 650 Creoles.
