Abstract
Non-sanctioned by the United Nations enforced actions of the US Administration and weak progress in reforming the Organization have evoked disappointment in the effectiveness of this mechanism and search for an alternative leader of the global peace regulation control. Initial declarations and statements by President B. Obama and members of his Administration provide grounds for the hope that the United States would also apply more regularly to the international forums, including UN, to seek realization of their national foreign policy aims and would contribute to their so badly needed adaptation to new realities and challenges.
