Abstract
The article analyzes the book of Swiss politician Guy Mettan "The West vs Russia - a thousand year long war: russophobia from Charlemange to the Ukrainian Crisis". In Western literature for centuries mainstream anti-Russian reigns supreme. Mettan, the article said, not so much wanted to "defend" and "justify" Russia, as to present it to another, other than the established in the West view at it.
