Abstract
The article discusses the regularities of the production of the stress combinations «preposition plus numeral» in the modern Russian literary language and reveals the hierarchy of factors contributing to and hindering the preservation of old standards with the stress on the preposition or the consolidation of new norms with emphasis on numerals.
