Abstract

The article is devoted to the oral taditions of the Moscow Metropolitan Alexius, which supplement the information about the St. Alexius from the hagiographies, various collections and chronicles. In fact folklore ideas are the basis of national veneration of the St. Alexius, supplementing the idea of this state and church figure.
