The article considers the constitutive features of so-called «elite linguistic identity», which include the compliance with literary language standards, the ability to create a complex text, all language functional styles proficiency, the ability to dialogue, etc. The relativity of these parameters is shown. As an example, some features of Fyodor M. Dostoevsky linguistic identity are analyzed, primarily related to the abusive vocabulary use in fiction. The conclusion is made about the strict selectivity in the use of abusive words, motivated by the creating a specific artistic image task. The range of abusive words functions is broaden. An assumption is made that one of the elite linguistic identity key parameters is not the absence of abusive words in speech but the ability to consciously, reflexively, and motivated their use.
