Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the semantical and pragmatical potential of the precedent situation «the withdrawal of Israelis from Egypt» in the media texts 2013–2017. The paper analyzes the features of the function of the components of this situation when they are extrapolated to socio-political realities. The manipulative potential of biblical images is revealed in the formation of modern media texts and the peculiarity of the translation of the precedent situation «the withdrawal of Israelis from Egypt» to the world of politics.
