- Abstract
- The dominant ideas that classical and neoclassical Economics contain only the foundations of rational choice theory, which is an economic model for a person and society, are revised. According to the author, elements and conclusions of the alternative “theory of irrational choice” coexist with elements of the theory of rational choice. Outlines of the theory of irrational choice in classical and neoclassical Economics are presented. The article allows us to understand the relationship between the traditional and modern economic and sociological theory of rational choice and its alternative.
