Abstract

Theoretical and methodological aspects of convergence of regional development levels in the framework of EU integration processes in the period from 1995 to 2009 are considered. The main provisions of the concept of convergence as applied to these processes, the main types of convergence and assessment methods are considered, and an overview of empirical studies of these processes in the EU is given.
