Abstract
Using regression models, country factors that have a significant impact on the influx of migrants in host countries are compared, and the significant impact of non-economic factors (especially education) on migration processes in the world is confirmed. The empirical base of the study is the UN global migration database and an adapted matrix of bilateral migration flows. The study revealed that migration is characteristic not only of difficult life circumstances, but alsofor success.
