Abstract

The article examines the evolution of Communist and social-democratic ideology and party building in the former Soviet Union, as well as the features of political and ideological discourse in modern Russia. It shows how traditional socialist values are articulated in the political space, the content of programs and practices of socialist and social-democratic parties. Their successes and failures are analyzed in the context of modern political relations.
