- Abstract
- A research project carried out by sociologists of the European University in Saint Petersburg is presented. The research was based on a wide range of historical, sociological, ethnographic and bibliometric methods. The aim of the project was to study the intellectual, economic, political and other practices of approximately 600 social scientists. The authors describe the origins of the genre, substantiate its relevance to the sociology of science, describe the strategy and methods of research, and present previously published results.
