- Abstract
- The article considers the works by Boris Kustodiev that were created in the last fifteen years of his life (1912-1927) as the art inspired by a sense of nostalgia. Analysis of the paintings of the artist, his letters, as well as memoirs and testimonies of his contemporaries allows us to study the evolution of Kustodiev's nostalgic motifs. Within the mentioned fifteen years we can distinguish two periods characterized by different forms of the artist's interaction with the world.
