- Abstract
- In the history of antiquity ethics there are three paradigms: duty, utility, and love, reflected in numerous philosophical, scientific, legal, and literary texts. The first one dominated in preclassic, the second – in classic, the third – in post-classical period, corresponding to tribal, city-state and imperial structure as axiological expression of their economic, political and social characteristics.
