Abstract

For all the last century one feels one's vulnerability and short duration ever more press-ingly. The search for oneself for the sake of the other and The search for the other — someone to share loneliness, fear and love — for the sake of oneself become one of the contemporary individual's dominant inner guidelines. Many artists, including European and American filmmakers, address the subject of the individual overcoming the loneliness by challenging the outer World. Sometimes the challenge is strengthened by underlying energy of the "new sensuality".
