- Abstract
- The article examines the reaction of Russian society to the First Balkan War of 1912–1913. Sympathy for the «Slavic brothers» varied across different social classes. Only the intelligentsia showed unconditional and conscious support, which resulted in a large number of public events, publications and fundraising.
