- Abstract
- The article considers the court wedding ceremonial of the tsars from the House of Romanov, namely from Mikhail Feodorovich to his grandson Feodor Alekseevich, as refl ected in the documents from the Posol’sky Prikaz (Ambassadorial Offi ce). Their wedding ceremonies are explored in comparative perspective; the author pays special attention to changes and innovations caused by historical and cultural context as well as personal taste of the tsar, rhetoric’s influence both on the court ceremonial and court literature.
