Abstract
1993 Constitution of the Russian Federation, not worse, but better than many other countries constitutions. But it developed and taken in difficult conditions that influenced the wording of some of its articles. Individual formulations have theoretical errors and can lead to negative practical consequences. Some of the language in chapter 3 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation (for example, art. 73, 77) can be corrected through amendments to the Constitution, but art. 5 and 11 without convening a Constitutional Assembly and the adoption of the new Constitution cannot be changed. It is discussed the theoretical and practical significance of basic provisions of the Constitution about the Republics comprising the Russian Federation as states and about independent state power of the Federation subjects, which, in the opinion of the author are inaccurate. That is associated with conditions in Russia at the time of the adoption of the Constitution. Proposed interim measures to remedy the language by interpreting the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.
